Students’ participation and award in recent InnoShow

Two Year-4 and one Year-2 students, Chan Kai San, Ip Long Ching and Zhao Yazhou, participated in the 5th Engineering InnoShow with their project “PERfECT Wearables: A Coin-sized Platform for Health Innovation” and received the InnoShow Award. Under the guidance of their mentors from WISE Research Group led by Dr. Zhang Shiming, the team developed a series of next-generation wearable biosensors for advanced healthcare. These futuristic devices are developed based on “ PERfECT” which is one of the world’s smallest wearable biosensing platforms. In the next several years, they expect these wearable biosensors will help PERfECT-enabled spin-off biotech companies to revolutionize our current technologies in managing infectious diseases, cardiovascular diseases, mental health, and diabetes.
